our subject matter of interactive wearables has been taken to a whole new level thanks to the likes of kit kat. instead of paying for a kit kat bar, those interested in a kit kat bar in the UK, need to persued the “machine” to give him/her candy!

I like the idea of a human vending machine better than an automatic one. Because rather than shaking the machine to get extras, I can try to persuade the operator to give me some.
Human Vending Machines [are] being brought to the UK by Kit Kat.
Rather than being victim to your favoured chocolate bar getting stuck in the mechanisms of a traditional vending machine; the Kit Kat Human Vending Machine is operated by an actual human ‘vendor’.
The consumer will experience the speed and efficiency of a normal vending machine, with the added bonus of having a person to chat to and physically hand them their chocolate treat.
The innovative vending machine is part of the latest Kit Kat ‘Working Like a Machine’ campaign, which plays off the idea that people are overwhelmed with the monotony of everyday life and so need to take a break.
hey guys sorry for such a late post, but ive been using my camera quite often and i couldnt find where my camera cord went…
but here it is, the tshirt silkscreen extravaganza!
So a couple weeks back, alex, ron and I got together and screened some sweet designs on some shirts! this is not the usual graphic design I am used to, this was a little more on the lighter, funner side. haha funner.
this is ron’s design. quite simple actually, its a guitar, but as you wear it, and warm it up, your guitar turns into the weapon of choice, a sword.

this is alex’s design. alex decided to create a 3d effect by screening the same design in both blue and pink. yes, if you 80s babies recognize it, it is a commodore 64. we were only given black and pink sample inks from the company that makes the thermo ink.

lastly this is my shirt. another simple design. when you see the shirt, it has a lot of different cheesy motifs, and symbols. when the shirt is on, the black text stays.
bad design is everywhere.
design is everywhere

ride.link is a new wearable that seems to be in production. basically, its a bracelet you wear when you want to go drinking. it prevents you from drinking and driving by alerting people in your social network that you have blown over the alcohol limit. someone responds and drives you home.
for more info and the scenario video click below
from MIT Mobile Experience Lab
couple of questions i have…
* if you wanted to drive drunk, why don’t you just not blow into the damn thing?
* what if your friends are with you, or no one responds?
* how do people get to you? if they take the bus or taxi it could take awhile.
* will they drive your car home when they drop you off, or will they have to find away to get home themselves?
sometimes i cant even get my friends to pick up phone calls (jasper), what makes you think that someone will come pick you up while you’re drunk as hell downtown?! we if you guys have answers to those questions, then i guess you have better friends then me :*(

speaking of the inauguration, rumor has it that obama was wearing a bulletproff suit… no not a vest or anything like that…. im talking bullet proof blazer, bullet proof tie, bullet collar shirt, and maybe even pants! but like in dumb and dumber lloyd asked, “what if he got shot in the face?”
possibly, this guy did it for him.
watch videos part 1, part 2.
