ok so guys this is what i did. i know its not that impressive, but it may be the simplicity of it that may win my viewers!
this tent has a solar panel at the top and a light sensor. so when it goes dark you will have light. this is a 1/4 scale model of the piece. if this piece were to be delveloped further into a full scale production tent, the tent will include a rechargable battery inside the tent, with a crank in order for the batteries to be charged manually, incase you are camping in bad weather. lets hope not! other than that, and on off switch, a rain fly with transparent top so that the solar panel can still get some sun, even if it is rainning. another thing i would love to include are a set of lights that is mimicing the tents entrance, so you can see where the tents ‘front’ is. also a take-a-way light so you can do your dirty buisness at night. enjoy!

i was walking the other day and i notice a garbage can ive never seen before. it was called a solar compactor, and, i dont know for sure, but something tells me that it uses solar panels and a miracle, it compacts garbage.
here are a few shots i took.
for my final project for this class, i intend to create a tent that is somehow interactive with the body. how, do you say? well, thats the same question i ask myself everyday. hahah
well, i have an idea that consists of utilizing solar panels to collect solar energy during the summer days of camping, and turning it into light for the tent at night. LEDs, and solar energy, not a bad combo. too bad its been done. however, i wont let that discourage me. the second guy that thought of making a shoe wasnt discouraged when he found out he was the second guy, he asked himself, “how can i do it better,” and that is what i am going to attempt to do.
briefly mentioned in the last post, i talked about motorolla and frog designs designing headphones. headphones. well a couple of weeks ago i read a little article in the 24news about new headphones that were developed specifically for gamers, psyko headphones developed in calgary. the special thing about this device is that it “immerces you into the game…” and “feels more like you’re in the game,” by giving you a “3d” like sound so that you can tell where the noise and sound from the game is coming from.

watch the video describe how it all goes down. the best part is the gamers talking about gaming! ahahha but i would get these. i love games.
motorolla and frog designs have come up with some wearables that we may see sometime in the near future. seeing as how this post from phonescoop.com is from 2003, maybe we wont see it anytime soon! if you look at the designs you can almost date them! however, the concepts are still quite interesting.

some devices include, pda, earphones, phone, wristwatch thing, camera, and goggles.
